February 14, 2025: Today is a scheduled non-school day for Marysville School District students.
Due to the inclement weather, students who are transported for McKinney-Vento or other services outside the district, there is no out-of-district transportation.
As a reminder, Monday, February 17, is Presidents Day - no school.

Friday, February 7, 2025: We're back! Schools are open today and following the typical Friday release schedule. Buses are running their normal routes. Stay safe and warm, and use caution on side roads and sidewalks. It is currently clear and 23 degrees at 6:00 a.m. but we will see some sun today!
UPDATE - 6:25 A.M.: Weather conditions are changing, and due to the hazardous road conditions and an abundance of caution for the safety of our students and staff, we have decided to close schools today. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this unpredictable weather. All after-school clubs, activities, and practices are canceled. The district's athletic department will provide an update on any scheduled athletic events this evening. Stay safe and warm.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING SCHOOL CLOSURE
NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to RCW 28A.335.020, that the Board of Directors of the Marysville School District No. 25, Snohomish County, Washington, will hold a public hearing on Monday, February 10, 2025, commencing at 6:00 pm, at Liberty Elementary School, 1919 10th Street, Marysville, Washington. The public hearing is scheduled for the purpose of receiving comments from the public on the proposed closure. Any person may appear at the hearing and be heard for or against any part of the proposal. 1/16/25: The Snohomish County Sheriff's Dive Team will be training at the MPHS pool from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today.
This may result in several law enforcement vehicles being on campus during this time.
The Marysville Getchell High School girls' JV basketball game vs. Anacortes scheduled 12/28/24 is canceled. The varsity game start time has changed to 5:45 pm.

The Highly Capable Program Information Night for parents and guardians is tonight, Wednesday, December 18, at 6:00 p.m. at the Marysville Getchell High School Campus, 8301 84th Street NE. The meeting will be held in Building A and will include a group presentation and breakout sessions to share information on various program areas.
12/18/24, 8:00 a.m.: Power has been restored at the school sites, and all schools are operating on a normal schedule.
12/18/24, 7:40 a.m.: Power is still out at Marysville Getchell High School, Allen Creek Elementary, and Sunnyside Elementary schools. Marysville Getchell is operating on emergency power. The most recent update from PUD shared that power should be restored very soon.
12/18/24, 6:40 a.m.: The district is experiencing intermittent power outages at Marysville Getchell High School, Allen Creek Elementary, and Sunnyside Elementary School. PUD is working to restore power as soon as possible. We will provide an update as soon as more information is received. Currently, there are no school schedule modifications.
The City of Marysville Police Department has notified the district about the emergency closure of 88th Street from 61st to 59th for an undetermined amount of time. Students walking and parents/guardians driving in this area may have limited access. Buses are rerouting to accommodate the closure and deliver students home safely.
The MSD Board of Directors will hold two work study sessions on school closures on December 9 and 12 at 4:30 p.m. in the board room. The board is also seeking feedback on the current options. Go to https://bit.ly/SchoolClosureFeedback to access the form.
