Hello Marysville School District Students and Families,

Welcome to the 2023 - 2024 school year! We are looking forward to welcoming our returning and new students to school. Our primary duty is to provide a world-class education while keeping our students and staff safe and healthy. We will accomplish this through our professional educators and support staff meeting the educational, physical, social, and emotional needs of our students.

Our instructional and leadership staff have been busy this summer with professional learning and providing in-person and online learning opportunities for students through our Summer Success Programs, where hundreds of elementary and middle school students reinforced their learning through fun and engaging lessons and activities. High school students who participated in summer learning took online credit recovery classes to catch them up on missing credits if needed.

The first day of school is August 31, with a “soft start.”  The purpose of the soft start is to connect our elementary students in grades 1 - 5 and students entering grade 6 and 9 with their teachers and school community on this first day to help them feel connected and welcomed in their schools. All grades 1 - 12 will attend the next day, September 1, with all-day Kindergarten and Preschool starting September 6. Watch for more information from your child’s school for important information about start-of-school events and activities. School offices will open on August 22 to serve students and families.

As your Superintendent, it is an honor and privilege to serve the students and families of our Marysville and Tulalip communities. On behalf of the Board of Directors and our district staff, we welcome our students and families back to school!

Respectfully,

Dr. Zachary Scott Robbins Superintendent
