KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

Kindergarten is an important milestone for students and families as it marks a child's entry into elementary school. A child must turn 5 years of age by August 31 to be eligible to start kindergarten in September.

HOW TO REGISTER

Read and follow the steps below to register your child for kindergarten.

Find your School

For students enrolling in grades K-8* you will need to know your neighborhood school.  Go to the School Finder

  1. Username = school1

  2. Password = search

  3. Go to "Students" and use the dropdown menu and select "School/Transportation Search"

  4. Select "K" for Student Grade

If you have difficulty, call the Transportation Department at (360) 965-0300. You will need this information prior to going to Step 2.

Log In to Skyward

All ELC families already have an active Skyward Account. If you have never logged in to Skyward, click forgot login/password and one will be emailed to you at the email address on file at school.

To login to Skyward, click here.

*If you do not receive an email right away, please contact the ELC to update your email address.

Once you are logged into Skyward, go to the "New Student Online Enrollment" tab and complete the online registration.

Important:
For Applicable Families only:
There are three forms in the online registration portal available for download:

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS AND INFORMATION FOR KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

  • Birth Certificate

  • Immunization Record (Exemption form, if applicable)

  • Proof of Residency

  • Emergency Contact Information

  • Parenting Plans or other legal documents related to custody
    or guardianship

Experiencing Homelessness?

Foster Care

If you or your family are:
- staying with someone temporarily
- transitioning between housing situations
- live in a complex supported by a caseworker/organization
- staying in motel/hotel/campground or vehicle
- staying where there is no power or water

Paper Registration Packets and Translated Forms (Spanish, Russian)

While online registration is preferred,  registration forms are accessible at the District's Educational Service Center located at 4220 80th Street NE, Marysville, WA 98270. If you need a packet mailed to you, contact District Specialists Shari Grover, 360-965-0038, email sharigrover@msd25.org, or Dana Worth, 360-965-0037, email danaworth@msd25.org. Completed registration packets can be mailed or dropped off in the mail slot at the Marysville School District Education Service Center.
